As she backed out of Jenny’s driveway the next morning, Sara was glad she’d stayed the night. She knew she should have told them about Alex and everything that had happened in the past two years a long time before now. They were her best friends, after all. Pride shouldn’t have kept her from leaning on them when she really needed to.

Sara turned up the radio, put on her sunglasses, and shut off her cell phone. Her good mood wasn’t going to be spoiled for anything. Today, she was starting over.

Again.

If she could care for Jack after only four days, she could care for someone else. It was proof that life hadn’t ended and there were still good guys out there to find.

But first, she had a business to run. She’d wasted too much time mourning a marriage that was long dead, when she should have been taking care of clients. She couldn’t wait to see what Charlotte had lined up for her.
